In addition to our sunday services. These are the regular events and meeting that take place during the week.
Mondays 7.30pm to 8.30pm
The way we communicate with others is very important. Loving relationships thrive on good two-way conversations. This is true in our relationships with one another, but it is also true when we want a real relationship with God. As Christians we believe it is of vital importance to spend time talking to God and listening to him. We do that in our own personal lives to discuss with him things that are relevant to our day-to-day living, but we also take time to communicate with God the things that are to do with church and the wider community. In our prayer meetings we often take time to bring to God matters to do with the life of the village, and individuals within it. We would love for you to join with us at any of our prayer times. We meet at the church to pray: Monday 7.30pm – 8.30pm Everyone is welcome.
Wednesdays 9am to 11am
Morning out is a group for mums, dads, carers and their children from new born to school age. We meet during school terms in the the Baptist Church Hall on a Wednesday morning between 9am and 11am. However the time is flexible and people come and go whenever they wish. There are a variety of toys for the children to play with. If they want to get messy there could be playdoh, glueing or maybe even painting to keep them happy! Tea, coffee and squash are available all the morning, along with toast and biscuits. We are grateful for a contribution of a £1 each week if people feel able. Do come along if you have a little one. It’s a great way to get to know others in the village and for your child to make friends. You will be very welcome.
Fridays 10am to 12 noon
The coffee bar runs on a Friday morning in the church lounge from 10.00am to 12.00 noon. It is open to all but mainly attracts retired folk. Tea & Coffee are served. Occasionally there are lunches at the local pub or fish and chips and we may have a speaker to help celebrate Easter and Christmas or other special times of the year. It is a great way to meet other people, make friends, enjoy some company and if required get support through having people listen to you or pray with you. A warm welcome awaits you.
Fridays 10 a.m. – 11.30 a.m. Ukulele group
Saturdays 8am to 9am
Prayer is recognised by all the churches in the village to be of vital importance. It is how we talk and listen to God, and follows the example of the Lord Jesus Christ. He spent a lot of his time finding a place where he could dedicate precious minutes talking with his Father. Saturday morning prayer times are special. They provide an opportunity for anyone in the village, or anyone from any of the churches to come together to pray. We enjoy a light breakfast together of tea/coffee cereals and toast, and then spend just half-an-hour in prayer together. You would be very welcome to come and join us for breakfast at 8am, prayer at 8.30am or preferably both.
