Sunday Morning Service
Every Sunday at 10:30am
Our Sunday Morning services are relaxed and relatively informal with opportunities to worship, pray and explore what God is saying to us together. We aim to make our services accessible to everyone whether you have been a Christian for years or are just starting to explore faith for yourself.
We have a small creche room available for parents with young children, with the audio from the service playing on a speaker. Most Sundays we will also have Kids Church for School-age Children up to year 6.
After the service we have a time of fellowship, where we serve tea and coffee and biscuits.
On the first Sunday of the month our morning service is a reflective communion service, where all are invited to come and share a scripture, prayer, testimony, or just to come and listen. There is no children’s provision at this service.
Family Service
First Sunday of the month at 3pm
On the first Sunday of the month we have our interactive and informal family service. The service is designed for all ages and includes songs, prayers, crafts, bible stories, reflections, games, quizzes, discussions and more.
After the service we share in a light meal of sandwiches and cakes, and all are welcome to stay.
FAQ's
Do I have to be a Christian to Attend?
No! All are welcome to join us whether they are just thinking about faith, or have been Christians for years. We know it can feel daunting to step into a Church for the first time, so please get in touch if you would like someone to meet you there.
Will I be expected to sing and pray out loud?
We encourage everyone to get involved as much as they feel comfortable, but there is never any pressure to pray out loud or join in with the singing if you would rather not. Currently congregational singing indoors is not allowed under Covid restrictions, although on occasional Sundays we will head outside to sing together.
How long are the services?
Our services last around 1 hour. This hour Is filled with songs, bible readings, prayers and a short reflection on the bible reading. We will also share in communion together on the first and third Sunday morning every month.
Where Can I Park?
The Church has a car park round the back of the building, this can be accessed by driving under the archway opposite Main Street. If this is full there are also various public car parks nearby.
Do I Need to Pay?
No. We do take an offering during the service, but you are under no obligation to give – please just pass the basket on. We take an offering during the service as the work of the Church is primarily funded by the generous gifts of those who call Fleckney Baptist Church home and want to support its work.
What Should I Wear?
Some of those who attend will come dressed smart, others will come dressed more casual. Come in whatever clothes you’re comfortable in, we would love to welcome you.
